As we come to press today, we bring a newcomer to our midst, a woman whose writing style is refreshingly devoid of AI input, with a healthy vision for a future we are just beginning to think about. Let's call her "Idealia", as her ideas represent the ideal situation, the best of several worlds in the current economic and political environment we all live in. The writer behind Idealia is a historical novel author, environmentalist, homeowner, and financial advisor, who is family oriented and community centered. In financial services, she had the opportunity to address different types of real estate that affected the planning objectives of her clientele. With the perspective of time and her writing background, together we agreed to enshrine my co-buying goals and aspirations into a series of articles which we believe are promising for an affordable future.

RESTORED LIVING

What if I told you that the answer to our housing crisis is simply a change of perspective. A re-approached view on how we view "real estate" and in particular, residential housing. Our private and public sectors are spending countless hours and funds on trying to solve this issue with little success. With the priority of lowering costs and creating value for homeowners topmost, let's consider the importance and many benefits of home co-ownership. Let's begin to highlight the places where we spend our valuable time and the most amount of our earnings.

RESTORED LIVING. Just what does that mean?? We are here to give you some insights and hope you will have lots of questions. We want to help you better understand what it is and why it is so important in a fast changing world.

The mission of RESTORED LIVING is to promote better living arrangements, create home ownership, avoid obstacles to buying and bypass spiraling living costs by creating new patterns for collaborative living (which focuses on affordability). It is turning the page toward providing new logical avenues for living based on community, a vision from the early days of our civilized and national heritage. We will look at RESTORED LIVING from many angles and strive to educate you on how to make it financially possible. We will discuss what living collaboratively in community with others looks like, and how turning the page to a new way of living would impact your life in many ways, as you settle into a new definition of HOME.

The Options We've Accepted

But, let's back up a moment and consider current traditional living arrangements which, quite frankly, have not been updated and have us stuck in the past. Renting is straightforward but it is no longer an affordable option as statistics show, as you don't retain any growth from the input of your monthly costs. With renting, you find a comfy, reasonably affordable spot and settle in for an unspecified time. No commitment. No investment. No growth. Then there is buying residential real estate. With buying a house you now need a sizable nest egg that may take years to accumulate. This obviously is a deterrent for many people. That's a tough one.

A third option

What if there was a third option, one that looks a lot like renting but with the opportunity for growth, for retaining some of your monthly outflow which previously was lost in the monthly rent option? This takes us to RESTORED LIVING. This option, co-buying a home with others and splitting the purchase price with them, reduces to a fraction the cost of what it would have been were you to buy on your own. Buying becomes possible! It is a concept from our historical past that has worked and has been readapted to improve investment costs and lives.

Journey With Us

Stay with us as we journey through this inviting, new world of RESTORED LIVING which focuses on a model with co-buying at its center. In the days ahead we will discuss why this style of living is the backbone of what we need right now in our cities and rural areas. By its very nature we believe it restores us to our dreams, our relationships, a necessary financial foundation, our communities and most importantly to ourselves. Please take some time in the days ahead to travel with us to glimpse a world which only you can create and be a part of. It is you and me together, taking the best of the past and beginning to restore living to what it could be and should be, through a creative investment on your part.

Get ready for much more to come. Some topics we will be covering include decision making, considerations before co-buying, renting versus owning, community living benefits, lifestyle benefits and the unquestionable value of compounding of interest. All this includes both tangible and intangible aspects of co-buying. Your thoughts and questions are important to us as we help you ascertain how this will fit your lifestyle and affordability needs. We encourage dialogue and discussion! Please add your questions below and we will get back to you in our next blog!
